Making A Difference the M.A.D Bus Appeal is a charity raising funds to provide specifically adapted buses for less fortunate, vulnerable children who have profound learning disabilities and are also physically disabled. Our vision is to “make a difference” within the world! By supporting sustainable projects in both the UK and internationally we aim to improve the lives of children and young people and enhance their futures.
This is where the M.A.D Bus Appeal can help. We will provide a unique vehicle especially adapted to the medical, physical and emotional needs of these very disabled children. These modifications can include areas for the administration of medication, space if a child has a specific feeding requirement, and a seizure area; It will also include a tail lift for wheelchair users. All the seats and wheelchair clamps inside the bus are removable and interchangeable so that the bus can be used in a variety of ways on a day to day basis.
