Success story:

London Wheelchair Rugby Club

Inspiring Success for all
We raised: Over £960,000 raised to date

LWRC is a registered charity providing opportunities In both London and the South East for disabled people to take part in wheelchair rugby, the club has 2 teams which means they can provide suitable levels of competition for a diverse range of players be that at a social level all the way to paralympic gold medal glory at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games!

When someone first joins LondonWRC playing a sport and being part of a team is the most important thing. Competing and playing gives our players vast experience that will benefit them not only physically, but mentally and socially too. LondonWRC gives disabled people the opportunity to meet others with disabilities and feel they belong to a community.

Wheelchair rugby is a team sport played by people with a physical disability. It is a contact sport and physical contact between rugby chairs is an integral part of the game. Wheelchair Rugby is the fastest, most physically intense and action-packed Paralympic sport you’ll ever watch!! We need to continue meeting the needs of disabled people in local communities to ensure that they really do get the best out of life, both now and in the future.
